Sold: JKL Woods Tool

This design is inspired by the Skookum Bush Tool made by Rod Garcia. It is made from a Old Hickory slicing knife. The continual sweep of the blade makes it an excellent knife for wood working. The Old Hickory blades are made from 1095 high carbon steel. They hold a great edge and are easy to sharpen. This knife has a scandivex grind with microbevel edge for strength and durability. This knife is razor sharp and will cut with ease. The handles are rounded and contoured for comfort and ergonomics. The spine is sharp and will throw sparks easily from a fire steel.

The handles are made from Birdseye Maple and include red liners. The coke bottle shape allows for a secure and comfortable grip in a variety of positions. The blade is .09" thick 1095 high carbon steel. Overall length 8.6", blade length 4", handle length 4.6", blade height 1". Scandivex with microbevel, .125" aluminum pins. Knife weight 4.5 oz, with sheath 7.5 oz.

The sheath is made from 8oz vegetable tanned leather with brown dye. I use Obenauf's heavy duty leather preservative to finish the leather. This sheath has a small scuff near the fold. I have included a photo to show this. This will in no way effect the sheaths function.
